Site Council

The School Site Council (SSC) is a collaborative decision-making group of parents and school staff that works with the principal in the school governance process. The SSC’s main responsibilities are to review and analyze student achievement data; develop the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and the school site budget; and monitor the implementation of the plan and budget. The members of the site council are elected by their peers.  School Site Council meetings are run as open meetings and all are welcome.

The Arcata Elementary School Site Council meets the first Tuesday of the month at 4:00 pm in the AES staff room.

The Sunny Brae SSC meets quarterly; and exact dates and times can be found by contacting Becky MacQuarrie, Principal, at 822-5988.
